Hostel Facilities

We have Girls hostel near to college campus to accommodate students separately. Interested students to stay in the hostel are admitted separately. Hostels are enriched with provision of TV, indoor game, mattress, bed, fan, cot, cook & kitchen, news paper and magazines. The hostel is guided by a warden/ superintendent who takes care of the students. There is a strict time table for the inmates of the hostel. The students are required to sign an undertaking to obey the hostel rules & regulations at the time of applying for hostel. There is a menu of the mess forgiving nutrious & hygienic food. The menu of the hostel is subject to revision from time to time depending upon the availability of the vegetables in different seasons & allied factors. The college takes care of the students which make them feel like a home away from home, the hostel gate is closed at 6.OOpm every day. The indiscipline students are judged by the college authority in a strict vigilance. After two warnings for any violation of rules a student is finally rusticated from the hostel. The hostel meeting is held once in a month where the decisions are taken on the matters relating to discipline, messing and quality of food.

Placement Facilities

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) conduct a performance test examination for the MSW students after 4th semester examination and for BHM and BTM students after 8th Semester. Along with written test, viva and practical examination, the track record of the whole academic period of the students are taken in to account at the time of Grading. Placement support is given to student securing more than 90% in theory attendance and 100% participation in practical activities including seminar, function, study tour etc. Basis of the grading points A grade the students are recommended to the projects of govt. / non-govt. / international agencies/departments/ star hotels. Throughout the year, various development experts from the field and alumni are invited to interact with the student community. CGPC organizes all kinds of on / off campus placements. PLACEMENT support is given to the students securing more than 90% attendance in theory and 100% attendance in Practical and career development classes.

Campus & Infrastructure

We have a picturesque campus in the heart of the Balasore city. We have well furnished classrooms, conference hall, computer lab with internet (Wi-fl), e-Library, library, common rooms, practical laboratory, audio visuals equipments in the college with aqua-guard drinking water. The students are furnished with modern teaching aids like Display board, OHP, LCD projector etc. The permanent building of the college is under construction at Remuna near to Balasore Medical College. The proposed campus spread in a sprawling 1.5 acres of land in a beautiful natural environment.

Library Facilities

The college library is fully equipped with wide range of books on Social Work, Research Methodology, Rural Management and Business Management, Hotel Management, Tourism & Travel Management and other course related books. The library also subscribes wide range of journals, periodicals, newspapers and magazines to keep students aware with the latest developments. The college has Wi-Fi campus with internet facility available for students during their college hour. The students access the e-Library facilities under guidance of faculties. The college library is open for the students from 10 AM to 3PM. The students are provided with library cards to issue the books. The students have to return the library books within one week of issuing the books in a good condition. If delay in book return, late fine per day will be charged as fixed by the college. The library has a cooperative librarian who takes care of the student�s demand. The students have got the liberty to suggest for purchase of new books if they require them urgently, the students are penalized if they loss or misuse of books.
